Anna Kate - 7 months 2 weeks

Anna Kate is getting so big! She has been such a momma's baby since she was tiny, but she is starting to enjoy other people now. Gracie and Caroline are most likely her favorites for now and probably a long time...I am going to try to start blogging her accomplishments about once a month.

Yesterday, she started clapping her hands together when I say the Pat-a-Cake rhyme! So cute!

I know I say the wrong words in this video by the way...she doesn't seem to mind!

We have really been working to get her to wave bye-bye. Right now she only does it when she wants to.

She also loves real people food - not that baby food isn't real food...She just likes the fact that she's eating what we're eating, I guess. Drinking water out of a cup is one of the coolest things to her. She especially likes the big Vanderbilt cups that her Daddy uses.

Jon has a badge that he wears at work, and she looks for it when he gets home from work and holds her. It's pretty cute to watch.

She is so close to crawling! Since we have wood flooring, I think it has been harder for her to learn. When she pushes off, she slips and ends up going backward most of the time although I have seen her go in circles too. Either way, she is moving around.

She rocks side to side when we play music or sing to her. In church she rocks and sings or makes the razzing sound.

When we ask her to touch our nose or hair, she can do it! This was probably the first instruction that she followed - it's been about 6 weeks since she started that.

Time is flying by!
